The first ever BMW i8 Roadster was recently launched in Sri Lanka at our showroom premises. The i8 Roadster is the latest addition to the BMW electric family and is acclaimed to be combining emission-free mobility and high-calibre performance. The progressive design of the BMW i8 Roadster promises to reinterpret freedom on a new dimension. The first ever BMW i8 Roadster is based on the LifeDrive vehicle architecture designed for BMW i cars. The aluminium Drive module brings together the powertrain, high-voltage battery, suspension, crash system and structural functions, while the Life module takes the form of a passenger cell hewn from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP). The aerodynamically optimised exterior with gullwing doors and a soft-top roof display great visual lightness.
